/Recently, I was fortunate to receive 4,000 EIGEN airdrops from the EigenLayer Foundation. The eligibility requirement is to become a content creator who contributes to the community. If more project parties join the ranks of incentivizing content creators, won’t a new round of TwitterFi be coming? So how can you become a high-quality Content Creator in the eyes of the project parties? Share some experiences:
/ Choose the right output direction. Primary project investment research, secondary trading opportunity analysis, hair hunter, macro market analysis, on-chain data indicator interpretation, etc., each has different thresholds and commercial transformation paths. Don't try to get involved in every direction, the result will be nothing. With some security technology background and VC experience, I naturally chose the project investment research direction. Investment research is not difficult, but the long-term output and value accumulation are important.
/ Find the precise user group to serve. The Crypto market is very diverse. There are wealth code chasers who want to make money, builders who pursue industry gains in the long term, and novices who follow the market hot spots. Think clearly about which group of people to serve. It is easy to fail when recommending wealth codes, and it is easy to be exploited by the sickle when blindly chasing hot spots. I chose to serve the Builder group. Although this group of people rarely participate in interactions, their long-term knowledge contributions will be remembered.
/ Find your own unique content style and tone. Some people can tell gossip stories vividly, some can sort out investment targets thoroughly, and some can mine investment opportunities through on-chain data. I chose the unique perspective of "technology + business" to make unfamiliar technical concepts easy to understand. It is not easy to do this, but the process of exporting unfamiliar technologies, my own learning and improvement, and my contribution to the industry are inspiring and rewarding.
/Don't just pursue traffic. IP> influence> traffic. Crypto currently has a serious misalignment of values. High-quality content, influence, and traffic are not positively correlated. If you don't grasp them well, you will easily get lost. Continuous high-quality content can subtly become your IP. Don't just pursue traffic and ignore the tone of the content. I often miss many gossip and quarrel topic discussions, but when new technologies and trends appear in the industry, I believe that the "hardcore man" will definitely appear.
/ Maintain pure pursuit and focus on technology. Don’t research ZK, zkVM, AI Coprocessor, FHE when the market sentiment is good today, and then follow the leeks to shout that technology is a "scam" when the market sentiment is depressed tomorrow. Technology is always pure. Knowing the development of technology and industry trends may not necessarily turn into wealth, but in the long run, the cognition of "technology" can improve your ability to cross cycles and the probability of a short-term surge in wealth. Don't ask me how I know.
/ A keen perspective and critical insight are important. KOL is not a rigid label, but a responsibility to the industry and the fan base. When the mood continues to be low, they should remain optimistic about the industry and wave the flag. When the mood is high, they should be able to calmly criticize some dangerous factors. Of course, there should be a timing of entry that is consistent with their own value judgment, because if you are not careful, you will fall into the trap of "cutting off people's wealth" and "helping the evil".
/Technical aesthetics is important, but don't be biased. The Crypto market is not driven purely by technology. Innovation paradigms, MeMe culture, and FOMO hype may lead to a huge reshuffle of wealth and cognition. A certain threshold of technical sense will allow you to screen out some low-quality projects and topics. Protecting limited attention is not a reason to reject new things. There is an "aesthetic" pursuit, but it is also necessary to appropriately cater to the market's choice.
/ The "monetization" of influence and the "contribution" of value do not conflict. There are many ways to monetize high-quality content, such as paid subscriptions, project ambassadors, institutional advisors, paid advertising, grant funding, etc. If you can stick to the high quality of each piece of content and the objectivity and rationality of each output, "contribution of value" is a good cover. If you are always criticized for posting advertisements, you must reflect on whether the "content" itself ignores the value.
/It is difficult to balance trading and high-quality content. Creating content is like an ascetic's job. You need to keep calm and not be swayed by the emotions of the secondary market. What you get is the self-motivated spirit after the output. Trading, on the other hand, is the result of frequent trial and error and cultivating your mind. Emotional fluctuations are difficult to avoid, and what you get is the pleasure of dopamine secretion from wealth appreciation. It is difficult to maintain high-quality creation and the image of a trading master at the same time. Trading ability is an added value for content creators.
/ Have insights and extended thinking on major narratives and trends. The narrative topics such as modularization, chain abstraction, AI+Web3, parallel EVM, zkVM, AVS, Preconf, etc. that have appeared in the market are the industry context jointly promoted by VC, developers, users and other markets. The logical framework and trend evolution behind the narrative need to always maintain the promotion of thinking and value guidance. Guidance or criticism has direct value to the evolution of trends.
