Binance is aiding Central European flood victims from Storm Boris.

Binance Charity is airdropping up to $1.5 million in BNB to Binance users in the hardest-hit locations, according to an official release.

User Identification Will Be POA

User identity will be based on POA achieved by September 18, 2024, according to Binance. They should state in their POA that they reside in the hardest-hit Polish, Romanian, and Czech regions.

The exchange said that customers in these locations would get $50 in BNB in their Binance accounts.

The notification also notes that Binance recognizes that many users in the impacted locations have not finished their POA.

Users may complete their POA validation information by October 11.

Binance said users who completed their POA before this date would get $25 in BNB as a contribution.

In Binance's FAQ section on humanitarian relief to afflicted customers, the first wave of payments will arrive by October 1, 2024.

Binance's General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Kyrylo Khomyakov, acknowledged the flooding in Poland, Czech Republic, and Romania.

The natural calamity killed people and damaged homes and goods, he added.

Khomyakov hopes Binance Donation recipients may assist themselves, their families, and the most needy areas.

Binance stands behind its users and will continue to help impacted individuals and community members.

Richard Teng, the exchange's CEO, sent a poignant statement on his X account about how impacted consumers might seek aid.
