Golden Finance reported that according to a memo obtained by Bloomberg, Musk lost a legal battle over unpaid severance pay to a former Twitter employee who was fired when Musk took over the social media platform in 2022. Two years ago, Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion and quickly fired more than half of its employees. The move triggered complaints from more than 2,000 former employees who claimed that they did not receive adequate severance pay. Last Friday's litigation victory may set a precedent for thousands of former employees who have filed similar arbitration complaints. "The arbitrator awarded the full severance pay to our client," attorney Shannon Liss-Riordan said in a memo on Monday. "We are excited about this progress and hope it heralds more good news to come."
