Crypto wallets could disappear in the next six years, according to Reown CEO Jess Houlgrave, who told Cointelegraph at Token2049, crypto wallets will become “the center of life” by 2030. Houlgrave said that these wallets will securely store and manage different parts of users’ lives, such as medical records, educational documents, and tickets.
Houlgrave noted that these systems will become more secure and that users will be able to customize their security policies. However, he acknowledged that some users may be hesitant to connect so much information to digital wallets.
Security remains a major concern for wallet owners. Ledger CXO Ian Rogers noted the increasing sophistication of cybercrime, saying that this year will be the worst year for cybercrime.
