The #FlappyBird Foundation has responded to criticism regarding their revival of the #FlappyBirdGame . The foundation, which acquired the Flappy Bird trademark in August 2024, aims to preserve and expand the game's legacy. The game's original creator, Dong Nguyen, criticized the revival effort, leading to backlash from the gaming community. The Foundation, comprised of dedicated fans, disputes claims of being "#GameFi grifters" and asserts their commitment to maintaining the game’s spirit. They have also secured rights to "Piou Piou vs Cactus," a game similar to Flappy Bird. The revived Flappy Bird is available on #Telegram as a mini-game, with plans for a token launch.
But the community notes on X (formerly Twitter) has denied claims of the games comeback saying the project is a scam to sell #NFTs instead.
