According to TechFlow, the on-chain detective ZachXBT published an article criticizing the stablecoin USDC issuer Circle and its CEO Jeremy Allaire, accusing them of never conducting a blacklist operation after the DeFi vulnerability/hacker attack, and continuing to profit from the transaction despite having plenty of time.
ZachXBT said that compared with other major issuers, it took Circle four and a half months to blacklist the hacker group Lazarus Group address. ZachXBT said, "Tired of your hypocritical moral statements because you are the root of the problem."
Earlier news, four stablecoin issuers have blacklisted two addresses including Lazarus Group, of which Lazarus Group holds $4.96 million. Another $1.65 million has been frozen on various trading platforms, bringing the total amount frozen in this investigation to $6.98 million.
