Odaily Planet Daily News: Christine Kim, vice president of Galaxy Research, concluded today's 196th Ethereum Core Developers Meeting (ACDE) that Ethereum developers are seriously considering splitting the Pectra upgrade into two upgrades. Previously, developers also discussed this idea, but it was rejected due to concerns that it would delay the Verkle fork. In today's conference call, developers brought up the idea again and discussed the possibility of adding more EIPs to Pectra. Developers insist that if the upgrade is split, the first upgrade can be executed in February next year, and the scope of the upgrade will cover all EIPs on Devnet 3, including EIP-7251, EIP-7702, EIP-6110, etc. The second upgrade will include EOF and PeerDAS, as well as increasing the number of blobs, and may also include some other EIPs that developers have been considering for a long time, such as SSZ. The name of the second upgrade has not yet been determined, and developers are expected to make a final decision at the next ACD conference call.
