🚀 Scroll, a layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, seems to have launched its main network! The project, led by co-founder Sandy Peng, has been developing a ZK rollup compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to make it easy for devs to redeploy their apps. Scroll's zkEVM joins the competition with rivals like Polygon and Matter Labs.
🔍 Etherscan data shows the Ethereum blockchain interacting with the "Scroll: L1 Gateway Router Proxy" recently. Dune Analytics also launched a dashboard to track Scroll's zkEVM, with 370 ETH ($565,000) already bridged to the network.
⏳ Scroll's launch follows two years of research and comes seven months after Polygon and Matter Labs released their own zkEVMs. Scroll's zkEVM first went live on a test network in February.
🤔 Scroll hasn't confirmed if they'll release their own token. What do you think? Will Scroll make a significant impact on Ethereum scaling? Share your thoughts in the comments!
