Initial unemployment claims are a seasonally adjusted measure of the number of people who applied for unemployment benefits for the first time that week.
If the indicator is higher than expected, the dollar should be considered weak/bearish, while if the indicator is lower than expected, the dollar should be considered strong/bullish.
Personally, I do not recommend subjective speculation on long and short positions. There is a high probability of a needle, so just place the long and short orders at 58200 and 55800.
