Changpeng Zhao studied computer science at McGill University in Montreal. Binance early stage
In July 2017, Changpeng Zhao and his team founded the digital currency trading platform Binance, thus starting a new era of personal development. After operation, Binance users reached 6 million within half a year of its creation. In 2018, Forbes released its first rich list in the field of digital currency. Changpeng Zhao ranked third with an estimated net worth of US$1.1-2 billion, becoming the only Chinese in the top ten. He also appeared on Forbes Magazine's cover. The following year, Binance announced that it would cooperate with American companies to establish Binance.US (Binance US version) and obtain operating licenses in multiple states in the United States. After that, Changpeng Zhao became a shareholder of Forbes. In 2022, Changpeng Zhao invested US$200 million in Forbes through Binance and became one of the two major shareholders of Forbes.
