[Former FTX executive Ryan Salame withdraws request to enforce plea agreement] Golden Finance reported that former FTX executive Ryan Salame withdrew his request to the New York court, asking the court to enforce the plea agreement reached with prosecutors, or to revoke his guilty plea and cancel the sentence. Salame was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison in May this year. His request was withdrawn to allow his partner Michelle Bond to raise relevant issues in her case. Salame's lawyer said that prosecutors promised to stop investigating Bond when they facilitated Salame's guilty plea. Bond is Salame's long-term partner and mother of children, and has served on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). She was accused of accepting illegal campaign donations when she ran for Congress in 2022. Bond appeared in the Southern District of New York on August 22 and was granted bail of $1 million. She faces four charges related to campaign finance violations, with a maximum sentence of five years for each charge.
