PANews reported on August 29 that the official website of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission updated the application information for the virtual asset trading platform license, which showed that HKDAX had submitted an application for a virtual asset trading platform license to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission on August 27, 2024. The name of the virtual asset trading platform operator company submitted was "Hong Kong Digital Asset Xchange Limited", and there is no Chinese name yet. As of now, the number of applicants for virtual asset trading platform licenses announced by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission is 17. According to the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Ordinance, a total of 11 platforms including HKbitEX, PantherTrade, Accumulus, DFX Labs, Bixin.com, xWhale, YAX, Bullish, Crypto.com, WhaleFin, and Matrixport HK are considered to have been licensed.
