PANews reported on August 28 that according to Digital Asset, at around 14:20 on August 28, at the 8th public trial of the 15th Criminal Division of the Southern District Court of Seoul, Hugo Le, CEO of the Korean digital asset management platform Haru Invest, was attacked with a weapon in court. A male perpetrator in his 40s suddenly stood up in the court audience and stabbed the neck of the CEO of Haru Invest in the defendant's seat several times with a short knife about 5 cm long hidden in his clothes. At 14:30, the police and the 119 rescue team arrived at the court, and at around 14:43, they were taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. The perpetrator of this incident has been arrested and the police are currently investigating the matter.

Last June, Haru Invest executives were indicted for allegedly defrauding investors of more than 1.4 trillion won (about $1 billion) in cryptocurrencies. The company’s CEO, Hugo Lee, was arrested in February.
