PANews reported on August 16 that HashKey HSK announced a strategic partnership with Bitcoin's second-layer network Bitlayer. The two parties will first cooperate on the HashKey platform token HSK airdrop event, and plan to continue in-depth cooperation in the areas of community incentives and public chain construction in the future to jointly promote the development of the Web3 ecosystem.
HSK is the token of HashKey platform, with a total issuance of 1 billion, and is scheduled to be officially launched in the third quarter of 2024. As an important part of HashKey ecology, HSK will be widely used in various core application scenarios of the platform, including community rewards within the ecology and cross-platform ecological cooperation. HSK will also provide strong support and impetus for the users and assets on the HashKey Layer 2 ecological chain HashKey Chain. HashKey Chian plans to launch the mainnet in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Bitlayer is the first Bitcoin security equivalent Layer 2 based on BitVM. The core goal of Bitlayer is to solve the trade-off between Bitcoin Layer 2 security and Turing completeness through cryptographic innovation and blockchain engineering implementation. Bitlayer is committed to becoming the computing layer of Bitcoin, aiming to introduce hyper-scalability to Bitcoin while inheriting its security and providing users with a high-throughput, low-cost transaction experience. Through this cooperation, HSK's ecological map will be further expanded to the Bitcoin ecosystem, bringing more powerful ecological support to HashKey HSK.
