PANews reported on August 15 that according to The Block, Cynthia Lo Bessette, head of Fidelity Digital Asset Management, said in an interview that it is not clear whether the next ETP product will appear after Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bessette added that although the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has not yet approved an Ethereum ETF that can pledge the underlying asset, this may change because staking is a key component of the Ethereum ecosystem. The emergence of an Ethereum pledged ETF may be just a matter of time, not if it will happen. Her team has had "constructive conversations" with SEC staff to discuss the possibility of introducing this feature to the market. In addition, Fidelity Digital Asset Management is also studying tokenization, including stablecoins, on-chain treasuries, and credit.
