Revolving Games and Animoca Brands partner on new node network
Web3 game publisher Revolving Games has partnered with venture capital studio Animoca Brands to expand its decentralized gaming ecosystem by creating a new blockchain infrastructure. The project will consist of three core features: the RCADE Chain, a new node network, and the RCADE token.
Backed by $37 million in venture capital, Revolving Games has generated over $3 billion in mobile gaming revenue and plans to launch at least four in-house games and ten AAA games on RCADE Chain over the next three years, including the upcoming mobile game Phoenix Flight.
Node sales will begin this month, and select communities can purchase nodes through an exclusive pre-sale before the public sale. Learn more on their official website.

Fini World to release F is For Fini with behind-the-scenes sketches
Fini World, an NFT oracle project that brings animated characters to life based on real-world data, is preparing to release “F is For Fini,” a new work in its “Fini Sketches” series by artist Ed Fornieles.
The new project reveals how Finis are generated, with sentiment being correlated with various data sources such as stocks, cryptocurrency prices or gross domestic product (GDP).
As part of the launch, Fornieles and digital art marketplace Ensemble are releasing 25 concept sketches and storyboards from the process of drawing the adorable Fini creatures, providing a never-before-seen behind-the-scenes look.
Axie Infinity Launches Avatar Mode
Blockchain combat game Axie Infinity launched its much-anticipated Avatar Mode on July 31, opening up access to Axie Infinity: Homeland to all Axie owners, a privilege previously reserved only for LAND NFT holders.
Avatar Mode lets players explore Lunacia using an in-game avatar that resembles their favorite Axie creatures. Players can access the feature through the Mavis Hub, where they can select their Axie, choose a name, and start exploring. The new town portal also allows players to enter coordinates to visit plots, allowing for easy navigation.
The Avatar Mode announcement was made on July 31st via a special livestream from Sky Mavis co-founder Jeff Zirlin, aka “Jihoz,” and a new video walkthrough on YouTube explains how to use Avatar Mode.
BAYC launches MBA program
This week, Bored Ape Yacht Club launched MBA Sessions, a new educational series featuring global business experts. The one-hour sessions take place every other Wednesday at 9am PT in a members-only Discord channel and offer insights on topics related to building and scaling brands, products, and services.
The first meeting, led by Andy Albertson of startup law firm Fenwick & West, took place on August 7.
White Walls public beta now available
White Walls, a company developing an application to display NFT artworks on smart TVs and mobile devices, has officially ended its Alpha phase and launched its public beta, having grown from a side project to a full-fledged startup over the past year with a strong community of more than 350 backers and around 150 testers.
According to the company’s announcement, its upcoming beta features are expected to include cross-chain compatibility on Tezos, Bitcoin, and Solana, better application usability, and new social features.
As part of the beta launch, Dallas digital artist Delta Sauce donated a piece from his Views series, known for its surreal AI-generated window scenes.
Blackbird Launches Crypto Payments for Restaurants
Blackbird, a dining rewards app built on Coinbase’s Ethereum second layer (L2) blockchain Base, has launched a new payment system that allows diners to settle their bills with cryptocurrency, making its debut at Semma, a Michelin-starred South Indian restaurant in New York City’s West Village known for its exclusivity and difficulty in getting reservations.
Now, crypto-savvy customers can pay for their meals in-app via on-chain payments, with restaurants paying a transaction fee of around 2%, which is reportedly lower than the industry standard fee for credit cards.
Doodles and adidas Originals collaboration
Doodles has just revealed a new collaboration with adidas Originals, with a super-limited collection of Doodles-themed sportswear, Superstar shoes and digital wearables set to drop on August 9 – and you won’t find them in stores.
That’s not all: On August 1, Doodles launched a limited-edition collaboration with Arizona Iced Tea that gives fans the chance to win a VIP trip to the “Dullsville and the Doodleverse” preview event in Toronto on September 7, 2024.
The artwork features Doodles’ fruity characters on classic Arizona lemon-flavored iced tea, which are now available in cans at select grocery stores in New York City, Southern California, and Miami while supplies last, and each bottle comes with a QR code that unlocks an Arizona-themed digital wearable featuring Doodles’s avatar and enters you into a sweepstakes draw.
