Solana co-founder Toly said that a virtual machine (VM) doesn’t matter until it starts to slow down the system, according to ChainCatcher.
He noted that there are only about 6 major programs in crypto projects: tokens, NFTs, oracles, AMMs, bonding curves, and order books. He emphasized that due to the complexity of these programs, interfaces are actually a net burden.
