According to Odaily Planet Daily, last week, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago and promised to invest $100 billion in the United States over the next four years. Trump joked that SoftBank might double its target to $200 billion, and Son responded that he would work hard to achieve it.
People familiar with the matter revealed that Masayoshi Son plans to build the next Nvidia through chip investment, with the goal of launching the first batch of shippable artificial intelligence chips by 2026 and the prototype chip as early as next summer.
Son also pledged to create 100,000 jobs focused on artificial intelligence and related infrastructure, with the funds to be deployed before the end of Trump's term.
