According to TechFlow, on December 18, the Bitcoin Lightning Network payment platform ZBD announced that it had obtained approval from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) and will be issued a license when the MiCA regulations come into effect on December 30.
The license allows ZBD to provide cryptocurrency custody and trading services in the European Union. ZBD submitted its application in April this year and became one of the first companies to be approved.
Currently, the Netherlands and other countries have prepared for the implementation of MiCA, and other EU member states are still promoting relevant legislation. The list of approved companies will be announced on the AFM official website after MiCA comes into effect.
