According to TechFlow, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson called on the foundation to move out of Switzerland and move to regions that support community-elected board members, such as Abu Dhabi or Wyoming.
Hoskinson criticized the Swiss government’s model of appointing board members for a lack of community involvement. The Cardano Foundation was established in 2016 and is bound by Swiss law to not allow for community elections.
The Foundation said it would increase transparency through the X Spaces event, but community calls for changes to the governance structure continue.
