According to PANews, a memorandum submitted on December 11 has postponed the pre-trial hearing for the cryptocurrency mixing service Samourai Wallet from December 17 to March 12, 2025, with the trial date set for November 3, 2025.
Since the pre-trial meeting on September 17, 2024, the U.S. government has submitted multiple batches of evidence materials and plans to submit the fifth batch within seven days. The FBI is reviewing 45 devices seized from the developers, and the remaining data is expected to be released in early 2025.
So far, 17 TB of data has been shared. The defense for Samourai Wallet likened the evidence materials to '75% of the collections of the Library of Congress,' with the thickness of the papers equivalent to making round trips to the moon 22 times.
