According to BlockBeats, on December 17, Nirvana Finance announced that it has opened claims and launched Nirvana V2, allowing original ANA holders to experience the application first.
Earlier, on April 12, U.S. prosecutors for the Southern District of New York announced that former security engineer Shakeeb Ahmed was sentenced to three years in prison for attacking two decentralized cryptocurrency trading platforms and stealing more than $12 million in cryptocurrency.
In July 2022, Ahmed used fake pricing data to attack an exchange and stole approximately $9 million. He then attacked Nirvana Finance, using a vulnerability to buy cryptocurrencies at low prices and sell them at high prices, stealing $3.6 million from Nirvana and causing it to shut down.
