According to TechFlow, on December 14, former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra attended a seminar held by the Pheu Thai Party. He suggested that the Prime Minister assign the Ministry of Finance to study the use of Bitcoin in tourist areas such as Phuket or Hua Hin.
Thaksin also mentioned that the Ministry of Finance may study injecting funds by issuing stablecoins backed by government bonds to keep the economy flowing without printing money.
