According to TechFlow, on December 3, digital asset management company 21.co announced the reorganization of its operating structure, splitting its business into 21Shares and 21.co Technologies, with 21.co continuing to serve as the controlling shareholder.
The new structure will take effect on January 6, 2025. Co-founders Hany Rashwan and Ophelia Snyder will serve as co-chairmen of 21Shares and as CEO and president of 21.co Technologies, respectively.
Russell Barlow, former head of global alternative and multi-asset investments at abrdn, will serve as CEO of 21Shares, which manages more than $200 billion in assets. 21Shares focuses on asset management and ETP business, while 21.co Technologies is committed to developing new products such as tokenized assets.
