According to TechFlow, the token creation platform Pump.fun announced two major updates (beta) to its mechanism.

First, token creation is now completely free, with the creation cost of approximately $2 being borne by the first buyer, not the token creator. This allows creators to create tokens without having to purchase any token supply.

Secondly, when a token completes its bonding curve, the creator will receive a reward of 0.5 SOL (about $80). This reward comes from the migration fee of Pump.fun (now reduced to 1.5 SOL), regardless of whether the creator has held or still holds the token, and is intended to incentivize developers to push the token to 100% completion.

Pump.fun also pointed out that newly created tokens will only be put on the chain after they are purchased for the first time, which may cause a difference between the release time displayed on the platform interface and the actual chain time of the mainnet.
