Trump: Bitcoin will take off, and I hope the United States will be the country that leads this process
Presidential candidate Donald Trump gave a speech to more than 3,000 attendees at the Nashville Bitcoin Conference, saying of Bitcoin: "I want it to be mined, minted and made in the United States." He then said he had developed a "comprehensive" crypto policy covering everything from stablecoin regulation to Bitcoin self-custody. Trump said that if he could return to the White House, he would ensure that the government retains 100% of its Bitcoin and would list Bitcoin as a US strategic reserve asset. In late May, Trump announced himself as a candidate in the cryptocurrency industry and declared: "If you support cryptocurrency, you will vote for Trump." Since then, Trump's approval rating has exceeded 70%.

Trump said he was proud to be the first major party candidate in American history to accept Bitcoin and cryptocurrency donations.
“It’s like the steel industry 100 years ago,” Trump said of Bitcoin. “In 15 years, Bitcoin has become the most valuable asset in the world, larger than ExxonMobil,” he added. ExxonMobil is the largest energy company in the United States.
