Coinbase's managing director for Asia Pacific said that despite "healthy" exchanges with Australian regulators, the exchange has concerns about "ongoing enforcement supervision." Previously, the Australian Treasury announced plans to launch draft licensing and custody rules for crypto asset providers by the end of 2024. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) is still taking a tough approach to the crypto industry.
