The main reasons are as follows:
1. Exchanges launch new coins too frequently: Recently, new coins such as ZK, ZRO, IO and Lista have been launched in succession. The review of new coins is loose, the market value is inflated, there are problems of false propaganda, and the amount of token unlocking is huge.
2. Lack of market liquidity: The altcoin market is crowded, and funds in the primary and secondary markets are withdrawn in large quantities. After the ETF is approved, funds slowly flow back to BTC and ETH, resulting in insufficient liquidity of altcoins.
3. Lack of foresight by project parties: Many project parties sell tokens immediately after they are launched, do not support the market, old coins are quickly eliminated, and new coins continue to be cut after they are launched.
4. Market hype is no longer: the market lacks hype points, and slight fluctuations trigger a decline. Value coins and fans do not support each other, hoarding coins becomes more difficult, and long-term holding risks are huge.
The only hope is that institutions jointly pull the market, Ethereum ETF approval increases liquidity, war easing, interest rate cuts, and presidential elections may bring about a turnaround.
