Sui mainnet will integrate DAG-based consensus algorithm Mysticeti

Sui announced on the X platform that its mainnet will integrate DAG-based consensus algorithm Mysticeti, and will launch the upgrade process in several steps in the next few weeks. Officials said that Mysticeti reached consensus in 390 milliseconds on the test network and the final settlement time was 640 milliseconds, which is 80% less than Narwhal-Bullshark. In addition to decoupling latency from throughput, the algorithm can maintain extremely high throughput (even in the event of network and node failures).

In addition, Mysticeti validators can sign and share blocks without certification, and its submission rules naturally appoint multiple leaders per round, allowing more transactions to be on the chain in advance.
