Vice President 🇺🇸 Kamala Harris surpassed the necessary threshold of support from delegates (from 2,668 delegates) to win the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.
Delegates who have expressed preliminary support for Harris will still need to formalize their votes in the coming weeks and will nominate an official candidate on August 7.
Barring the element of surprise, this fight will be between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.
