Pershore Motor Group clarified that the attackers created a fake page on the social network Facebook (NASDAQ:META), and on behalf of the company contacted people, inviting them to invest in bitcoins. Company management stated that Pershore Motor Group will never send cryptocurrency offers to anyone. And if people have already received similar messages, it is better to ignore them and immediately report the fake page to the company.
“Do not accept friend requests. We have a business page, but we will not send you applications ourselves. If there are any suspicious messages from our company, it is better to contact us directly through the official website or call us. Your safety is our top priority, so remain vigilant,” Pershore Motor Group warned.
Cryptocurrency scammers often hide behind government agencies or the names of well-known companies to defraud gullible users of money.
