According to Odaily Planet Daily, FOX Business reporter Eleanor Terrett posted on X that former SEC commissioner Paul Atkins is a top candidate to lead the SEC's top transition team. Atkins is well-versed in cryptocurrency technology and has a deep understanding of the SEC's internal workings.

Atkins served as a commissioner and staff member under SEC chairmen Richard C. Breeden and Arthur Levitt, and is considered capable of formulating an agenda that supports innovation and restoring the 'gold standard' that Republicans believe has disappeared under Gary Gensler's leadership.

Most of Trump's cabinet nominees have been announced, and the transition team will focus on filling federal agency positions, but the timing of the announcements is still unclear.
