According to Cointelegraph, Galaxy Digital’s research arm estimates that by 2030, approximately $47 billion in Bitcoin liquidity could be bridged to the Bitcoin L2 network.

In its latest report analyzing the growth of the Bitcoin L2 ecosystem through 2024, Galaxy Research noted a sevenfold increase in the number of projects, with venture funding totaling approximately $447 million to date.

Researchers pointed out that in the first three quarters of 2024, venture capital in Bitcoin L2 has reached $447 million, accounting for 39% of total investment. Of this, $174 million was raised from January to September 2024, $105 million was used for side chains, and $63 million was used for rollups.

In the second quarter of 2024, Bitcoin L2 received 44% of the crypto industry's L2 investment, an increase of 159% from the first quarter.

Galaxy believes that as the Bitcoin L2 ecosystem develops, traditional crypto venture capital firms will continue to invest in Bitcoin L2.
