According to Foresight News, a website called freerogernow.org, which is linked to the personal website of early Bitcoin investor Roger Ver, encourages supporters to sign an open letter calling on the U.S. government to end his unjust prosecution.

The website shows that 830 supporters have signed it, with a limit of 1,000 signatures. The website adds details about his investigation, saying that IRS agents questioned his tax attorney without a search warrant in 2018 and filed a lawsuit over communications with his attorney.

Roger Ver was arrested in April while attending a cryptocurrency conference in Barcelona and is awaiting a Spanish judge’s decision on whether to extradite him to the United States. If extradited, Ver’s case would be the first to be tried on cryptocurrency tax charges. He was released on bail after spending a month in jail and now lives in Mallorca.
