After WazirX Hack: Hackers Sell $62 Million in Altcoins!

Hackers who hacked the WazirX exchange earned $62.3 million by selling the altcoins they stole for 18,111 ETH. This shocking development reveals that the attackers still have $106 million worth of various cryptocurrencies. $80 million of this amount consists of Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens.

Hackers currently have a total of 33,409 ETH (approximately $115 million). While 15,000 of these ETHs were stolen directly from the wallets of the WazirX exchange, 18,000 were obtained from sold altcoins.

This incident shows once again how vulnerable cryptocurrency exchanges can be. Although WazirX is one of India's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, it is worrying that it was not protected from this attack.

So how will this situation affect investors? The fact that attackers still have a large amount of cryptocurrencies in their possession could lead to a selloff in the market. This may cause cryptocurrency prices to drop.

Investors should be careful against such attacks and store their assets safely. Before trading on an exchange, it is important to research the exchange's security measures and only use trusted platforms.
