Vitalik Buterin: “Don’t vote for politicians who claim to support cryptocurrencies”
Vitalik Buterin believes that some politicians who claim to be supporters of cryptocurrencies are not always clear about their beliefs.
“If you see a politician advocating cryptocurrency, it is worth examining his core values and seeing which side he would choose if a conflict arises. Officials understand only one thing: all they need to get your vote is to support the cryptocurrency. You need to be careful with them,” Buterin said.
The programmer warned that the authorities of some states dominated by authoritarian rule may verbally support digital assets and blockchain, but in fact they are ready to change their position at any time.
In addition, Buterin believes that political parties that are trying to demonstrate support for cryptocurrencies and attract supporters of digital assets to their side, in fact, only seek stricter regulation of the industry.
