According to TechFlow, the Aethir Foundation has announced a $50 million community rewards program. As the token exchange plan with IO.net has been temporarily shelved, these ATH tokens will be used to reward active participants in the Aethir community.

Of these, $20 million of ATH tokens will be distributed to users who hold checker licenses, and everyone is eligible to receive a minimum number of ATHs; bonuses will be given to those who have staked at least 2,500 ATHs in each Checker License and those who have been staking since the TGE. Aethir will take snapshots every day to determine eligibility, and the last snapshot will be on July 23, 2024.

The remaining $30 million will be injected into the ATH-AI staking pool and will be distributed to the ATH-AI staking pool within 24 weeks to increase returns in order to enhance staking rewards and support AI application development.

Aethir said that the $50 million community reward program is an important milestone towards the decentralized future of cloud computing, and by re-adapting the resources originally used for the io.net token exchange, it can accelerate the growth and development of the Aethir ecosystem. Aethir will continue to maintain a strategic partnership with IO.net to promote the potential of distributed GPU computing.
