Odaily Planet Daily News: According to a report released by blockchain security company Match Systems on July 16, the crypto phishing application Angel Drainer was shut down after it was possibly identified. On February 5, blockchain security company Blockaid reported that phishing scammers used Angel Drainer to steal more than $25 million from 35,000 individual crypto users. At around 4 pm (UTC time) on July 16, Match Systems announced on X that it had made progress in "Angel Drainer member deanonymization", which means it has discovered the identity of the developer of the app. About four hours later, the company announced that it had found evidence that Angel Drainer had been shut down.
