美国前总统特朗普接受了《商业周刊》一场约90分钟的采访，其中涉及美国经济、若再次当选，其第二个总统的议程等广泛议题。特朗普表示，（若再次当选）他将允许担任美联储主席的鲍威尔完成其包括理事一职（2028年届满）在内的任期，尤其是如果他认为后者在做正确的事的话。在政策利率方面，他警告称，美联储应该在11月大选前避免降息，以防给拜登带来提振。有关减税，特朗普希望将企业税率从目前的21%下调至低至15%。不过如果事实证明这个目标太难实现，他会满足于降至20%。此外，特朗普还提到有关潜在财政部长人选的问题，他表示，自己可以设想据称正在考虑从政的小摩CEO戴蒙“是他会考虑的财政部长人选”。而在涉及总统特赦问题方面，特朗普坚称如果在针对他的未决案件中被裁定犯下联邦罪行，他不会赦免自己。
