News $LUNC : Terra Luna Classic moves closer to implementing Tax2Gas

Terra Luna developer Classic Labs on Tuesday announced the progress of the Tax2Gas implementation, with the most anticipated upgrade scheduled for the end of July. The move comes as the community announces via proposal 12115 “Genuine Labs Tax2Gas Deployment” last month.

Genuine Labs previously said it needed five weeks for research, development, and basic testing and deployment. The total budget is estimated at $25,000 in $LUNC year.

#TerraLunaClassic  is set to deploy Tax2Gas

The official developer of Terra Luna Classic L1 shared a bi-weekly update on June 9 on Tax2Gas implementation developments. According to the developer, the team is already working on the implementation of the Tax2Gas module, changes related to the wasm processing plugin, and handler upgrades. Progress on Tax2Gas implementation work can be found at #TerraClassic  GitHub.

#GenuineLabs  reveals that the module will now keep the gas price at 22 par for the Terra Classic. It will define the logic of AnteHandler and PostHandler. Notably, taxes are now converted to gas and fees will only be used when the transaction is successful.

Over the next two weeks, the team will perform tasks such as unit testing for new modules and deployments, E2E testing, and manual and testnet testing.
