📣Breaking news, folks! The Open Network (TON) team is cooking up a layer-2 network using Polygon's tech! Announced at the Ethereum Community Conference, the new protocol, TON Applications Chain (TAC), is set to spice up the DeFi scene.🌶️

TAC will use Polygon’s Chain Development Kit and AggLayer, solving that pesky blockchain fragmentation issue. It's designed to bring EVM-based decentralized applications to TON’s ecosystem and let Ethereum developers build new programs for Telegram’s users.🛠️

According to TON, TAC will "significantly enhance liquidity access and accelerate DeFi adoption." It's not just about DeFi though, TAC will also open doors for gaming and decentralized identity solutions.🚀

This move follows the trend set by other big blockchain companies like Coinbase, Celo, Worldcoin, and OKX, who have launched their own layer-2 networks. TAC founder, Pavel Altukhov, said they chose Polygon for its EVM compatibility, liquidity bridging, deployment support, and EVM expertise.👏
