Techub News reported that according to Cointelegraph, Worldcoin launched the World Chain developer preview version. This version provides global developers with the opportunity to build the chain before the World Chain mainnet is launched.

Remco Bloemen, head of protocols at the Worldcoin Foundation, said that through the World Chain developer preview, developers can deploy infrastructure on the "gated mainnet" because World Chain skips the testnet.

Developers have been testing World Chain on OP Stack, an open source development framework maintained by the Optimism Collective. World Chain is expected to be fully launched in 2024 and integrated with Worldcoin's identity protocol World ID, designed to enable real human transactions. The project is committed to providing an ecosystem where people can use a universal World ID as a global digital passport.
