According to ChainCatcher, io.net officials said that Apple M chip devices will be temporarily removed from the list of supported devices, and support for M series chip computers including M2 and M3 will stop on July 15. Support for M2 Ultra and M3 devices will continue until the end of this month.

In the short term, io.net must prioritize managing supply and reducing emissions impact on the network. Based on discussions with current and potential customers, prioritizing GPUs and providing incentives for GPUs that are in high demand is important to the sustainability of the network. Rewards for all M-series chips will be transferred to eligible GPUs.

If demand or opportunities to exploit M-series chips arise in the future, support will be restored. The team will carefully re-evaluate the situation on a monthly basis and restore support for more devices as soon as feasible.
