The encrypted tracking platform MistTrack pointed out in a tweet yesterday that the phishing tool Pink Drainer, which is widely used by criminals but has been shut down, was found to have been accidentally included in the zero transfer attack (in simplified Chinese: "zero U address investment" in recent financial activities). poison").

The platform said that addresses associated with Pink Drainer appear to have fallen victim this time, losing 10 ETH (now about $30,000) in the zero-transfer attack:

"Zero transfer attack" means that the attacker fakes a wallet that is very similar to the target's commonly used wallet address, and the first and last few alphanumeric digits are almost the same.

It added, "The purpose of this move is to deceive the target, allowing users to copy the false address without fully checking it when transferring funds, and mistakenly send funds to the wrong wallet."

As can be seen in the picture above, the fake address imitated the first and last six characters and successfully fooled Pink Drainer.

Pink Drainer announces lights out

On May 17 this year, Pink Drainer announced on its official Telegram that it would cease operations, claiming that after successfully stealing $75 million within a year, it would permanently shut down and delete the entire chat room record:
