ChainCatcher reported that according to Jinshi Data, game developer Epic Games posted a post accusing Apple of rejecting notarized submissions to Apple's Epic Games Store twice. A few hours later, Epic said that the submissions to the Epic Games Store had been accepted.

The Epic Games Store is a virtual store where consumers can buy a variety of games including Fortnite. "Apple has twice rejected our Epic Games Store notarization applications, claiming that the design and placement of Epic's 'Install' button is too similar to Apple's 'Get' button, and that our 'In-App Purchases' label is too similar to the App Store's 'In-App Purchases' label," Epic Games initially tweeted. The game developer accused the move of violating EU regulations. Apple said the recent dispute involved Epic's Epic Sweden AB Marketplace app in the Swedish market, which had already been approved.
