Following the collapse of the FTX crypto exchange, new allegations have emerged about its founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) and his family arranging a $100 million political donation. 📉 The Wall Street Journal reported secret emails claiming that SBF's family was seriously involved in managing and directing these funds.

Sam's father, Joe Bankman, played a key role in advising on financial strategies regarding political donations. Joe is a law professor at Stanford University and is now accused of being directly involved in an illegal straw donor scheme.

Sam's mother, Barbara Fried, co-founded the political action committee (PAC) Mind the Gap, directing funds to various progressive groups and initiatives. This coordinated effort aimed to influence the 2022 elections by supporting various political entities and causes.

The FTX scandal also involves former FTX executives. SBF is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence for his involvement with FTX.
