Odaily Planet Daily News Helium Foundation posted on the X platform that the Helium community is discussing a new proposal HIP 128, which proposes the creation of an ENERGY subnetwork to reward users for participating in the energy market through solar power generation and battery energy storage. The subnetwork will support the integration and rewards of distributed energy resources (DERs), allowing home users to contribute to grid stability and receive rewards. Its main advantages include dual mining (existing Helium hotspots can receive IOT and ENERGY rewards at the same time), increasing network activity and data credit consumption, entering the renewable energy field, and promoting green energy practices.
