Blink will be the fundamental innovation towards mass adoption. It originates from Solana but should be adopted by the entire blockchain, especially Ethereum. A very large thread.

2/ What is Blink?

Now, Solana's push includes three parts: - Action on the chain - Blink link - Widget embedded in social networks, IM, APP and wallets So what is the role of blockchain? It is still a decentralized network and "transaction confirmation" network that replaces the existing Internet.

2/ What can Blink do?

——From the perspective of blockchain From the perspective of blockchain, we can embed various on-chain transactions into existing web pages, social networks, and apps. For example:

- Dex Trading

- On-chain derivatives

- NFT Trading

- NFT Mint

- Inscription

- Guess

The transaction on the chain can be a link (hypothetically) "web3s://ab.nc/?a=1&b=2" etc. This is the transaction intention and requires a wallet signature to be established.

3/ What can Blink do? — A more holistic perspective

Blink obviously does not just embed on-chain transactions into X.com, it is a key step to eat up the existing Internet. Blink first connects itself and then connects to web2.

Previously, for example, web3.0 wanted to build its own social network. But in reality, the acceptance of web3.0 will be, in the first stage, to integrate into the existing social network, and in the second stage, to rebuild a new social network.

4/ Understanding Blink from the fundamentals of blockchain

Blockchain has several major innovations so far:

- BTC/Blockchain
- ETH/Smart Contract
- Token/ERC20/ERC721
- DeFi/Stablecoin
- Blink is the new one

5/ What will Blink show up soon?

- Embedded in social networks (marketing, trading, airdrop)
- Embed IM, such as tg bot (trading)

6/ What will Blink bring to the existing blockchain infrastructure?

- Become a standard for information/asset interconnection (built on interoperability protocols)
- Become the standard for intention interaction
- Become the basic component of chain abstraction

In fact, I think it would be possible to make a blink wrapper for the EVM without changing the Ethereum EVM. (Similar to what EIP-4337 does for accounts.)

7/ Dialect's blink solution is an overkill, it provides a link, then uses it to display a widget (webpage), which then triggers the wallet. It is similar to the short links we often use on social networks.

The beauty of this solution is that it does not require waiting for the improvement of various infrastructures, but instead directly uses the existing ones.

I believe that this solution will soon be adopted by others, such as the Alchemy solution of AA wallet.

8/ Trading and Instructions of Solana

Those of us who are relatively familiar with Ethereum transactions may not have noticed at first that Solana transactions can be split into multiple instructions.

It is also easy to do with Ethereum. You just need to deploy a smart contract and write the relevant so-called "instructions" in it.

blink allows us to combine transactions and trades more conveniently.

9/ Jupiter's blink has a video demonstration, its concept is relatively simple:

Embed the trading interface directly into the x.com timeline.

(Of course, this task scenario does not apply to x.com)

10/ Now blink has a way to trigger the wallet directly. This triggering wallet is a standard operation, but it just switches to x.com (but it often means big risks).

Personally, I think this approach is still very problematic. How do we confirm that the web page "link" behind it is correct? We may still need a blink version of https to confirm that the blockchain link and web page link are correct. If the security problem is not solved, will it cause large-scale theft? This is very important, just like the importance of https to the Internet.
