Telegram Altcoin Received Official Approval from the Regulator: Entering the Market!
The Open Network (TON), the popular altcoin affiliated with Telegram, is officially entering the Kazakhstan market.
According to local news sources, the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) has officially approved The Open Network's cryptocurrency.
Legal transactions will be made with TON
Thanks to AFSA's approval, TON will be able to be traded on the cryptocurrency trading platforms of the Astana International Financial Centre.
Astana Financial Services Authority took office as the independent regulator of the International Financial Center in Astana in 2018.
In the statement, it was said: “AFSA made this decision after a comprehensive evaluation process on whether Toncoin meets the legal standards set by the institution.”
Thanks to this approval, domestic investors will be able to buy and sell with Toncoin on platforms licensed by AFSA.
Toncoin's inclusion on AIFC-regulated platforms may enable more individual and institutional investors to trade with TON.
“A strong regulatory framework”
Kazakhstan implemented the Law on Digital Assets in the Republic of Kazakhstan on April 1, 2023, to create a legal basis for cryptocurrency activities in the country.
This paves the way for digital assets permitted by the Astana International Financial Center to be legally issued and put into circulation in the country.
According to the statement, with the approval of Toncoin, investors will be able to make transactions by benefiting from "a strong regulatory framework and measures taken to protect investors".
