“Notcoin” previews new airdrop, 5 million mg will be distributed

The popular Telegram free mining game "Notcoin" recently announced a "new beginning" and announced a new round of burning and airdrop plans, spending a total of $8 million worth of $NOT tokens.

Notcoin is a viral clicker game on Telegram that has attracted the attention of more than 35 million players this year, as players frantically click on their phone screens to collect in-game tokens. These tokens were later converted into $NOT tokens and listed on major exchanges, making it one of the largest airdrops of the year.

The success of the Notcoin game was largely tied to the anticipation of the airdrop, but after the airdrop ends, the development team is looking for new ways to keep players engaged.

This week, the “Notcoin” team announced two plans:

  • Plan 1: Destroy $3 million worth of unclaimed $NOT tokens and remove them from circulation.

  • Plan 2: The "Notcoin" team revealed to the foreign media "Decrypt" that it will airdrop an additional $5 million worth of $NOT tokens (approximately NT$160 million) to gold- and platinum-level players as "bonuses." The initially announced figure was $4.2 million, which may have been changed due to fluctuating token prices.

“Notcoin” launches revenue tasks in May

In May of this year, “Notcoin” launched income tasks, allowing players to passively earn $NOT rewards, and establish a level system based on the amount of income, with the highest level being platinum. The $NOT airdrop rewards will be distributed to Gold and Platinum level players.

The "Notcoin" team stated that if any player does not apply for the $NOT token airdrop, it will be remitted to the official treasury, and these tokens will be used to support the future development of the game. The team’s ultimate goal is for 95% of $NOT tokens to be held by the community, with the remaining 5% remaining in the vault.

“Notcoin” hints at preemptively planning future airdrop methods?

In addition to participating in revenue tasks, is there a way for "Notcoin" to lay out new opportunities?

A few hours after the airdrop was announced, the official Telegram channel of "Notcoin" sent a message: "A great reset, a new beginning." If players click on the hyperlink in the message, they will jump to the Telegram channel of "Lost Dogs" .

The channel recently shared an image containing $NOT, which was also shared to the channel by Notcoin.

What is Lost Dogs?

"Lost Dogs" was launched in early 2023 and is an NFT series on the TON blockchain with a total circulation of 2,222 pieces. According to data from TON NFT platform GetGems, "Lost Dogs" ranked seventh in total sales in the past 30 days.

So the question is, what is the relationship between "Lost Dogs" and "Notcoin"?

Sasha Plotvinov, co-founder of “Notcoin”, previously told foreign media that the goal of the game is to become the Netflix of social viral games.

He explained that the success of Notcoin will be used to create a platform for other independent developers to develop their own viral social games. These projects will be able to leverage the infrastructure and audience built by the Notcoin development team and continue to drive the game’s token economy.

The currency circle foreign media "Decrypt" pointed out that fans began to speculate that this reference related to "Lost Dogs" may be the beginning of this plan. But so far, “Notcoin” has not announced any relevant news.

According to Plotvinov’s vision, the future of Notcoin is a Netflix-style environment where players can play games and participate in community experiments, jumping from one experience to another. This vision, powered by TON and its unique relationship with Telegram, will allow players to capture data from one experience and connect to another.

Is Lost Dogs the first step in this plan? But with the Telegram gaming scene booming in the wake of Notcoin’s airdrop, it seems like something is about to happen.
